Wind turbines are located in windy places because higher wind speeds allow the turbines to produce more electricity. The energy generated by wind turbines is directly proportional to the cube of the wind speed, so locations with consistent and strong winds are ideal for maximizing power output. Additionally, wind turbines are often placed in remote or coastal areas to minimize disruptions to nearby communities.
Yes in producing wind energy as a form of electricity. Some places now have whole hillsides with wind turbines/mills to produce electrical energy for the area.
Lots of places. For example, 40% of Denmark's electricity comes from wind turbines.
When water levels are high in oceans and tides are producing and rushing to and fro, it has potential to produce electricity out of it. For producing electricity out of such wild potential oceans barrage is installed around the corner of river, then water turbines are installed inside the barrage. When water rushes through these turbines it produces electricity. For producing significant amount of energy out of tidal water turbines, range of tides should be high and substantial amount of water should be there for pushing water through the turbine. Approximately 4 to 5 r meters range of tides are require to produce significant amount electricity. It is significantly important to spot the appropriate place which provide suitable and sustainable conditions to produce tidal energy, there are plenty of places around the globe which provide good conditions for installing water turbines and then produce electricity use tidal power of oceans in the location. For instance in Canada, there is place with name of Bay of Fundy which produces highest and largest tide ranges in the world. Its average range is 10.8 meters Gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon on the Earth cause tides.
Yes. Many places use wind energy to produce electricity. Televisions are powered by electricity.
Tidal energy is produced by harnessing the power of ocean tides through devices like tidal turbines or barrage systems. These devices capture the kinetic energy of moving water to generate electricity as the tides ebb and flow. Tidal energy is a renewable and predictable source of energy that can help reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
in awsome places
We (the u.s) don't have a good grid, which is the way electricity is moved to where it needs to go. To make a new grid or fix the old grid it will take lots of money. If we are using wind turbines, then electricity will have to be transported to places where there is not a lot of wind.
its intermittency, as wind turbines produce energy only when the wind is blowing. This can make it challenging to ensure a consistent supply of electricity to meet demand.
Yes. The island of Hawaii use wind turbines, such as Maui and Oahu .
Wind turbines are normally placed at the bottom of a valley, or a hill that doesn't have trees (trees block and trap wind, reducing the wind speed) at an angle where the speed of wind and the amount of wind are the greatest so to produce the maximum amount of energy.
They are both good, as they both provide electricity without the polluting carbon dioxide emissions that are causing global warming and climate change. Wind turbines are best in windy places. Solar panels are best in sunny places.
