Assuming that rubbish = trash
all trash that isn't recycled goes to land fills; if it is biodegradable it decomposes and fertilizes the soil around it; if it is not it can sit on the ground for millions of years this causes the land to fill up with trash; this is the reason that non degradable plastic is so bad to throw out and should be recycled
