I would advice against using Wax paper in a microwave.
The wax would easily melt when heated up by the waves.
Wax would blend in with the food and then you eat it.
Not sure if eating wax is harmful in any way, but I imagine there being certain additives to it like anti fungal chemicals. Probably not very harmful in small quantities but still..
Plastic wrap, if choosing the right type, does not give off chemicals to the food.
Because paper disintegrates faster than plastic
foil or paper but foil is better than paper
No, paper cups are better insulators than plastic cups because paper is a poorer conductor of heat than plastic. This means that a paper cup will keep liquids hot or cold for longer periods of time compared to a plastic cup.
Paper is a better heat conductor than plastic because it allows heat to pass through it more easily due to its natural fibers. On the other hand, plastic is an insulator and does not conduct heat as effectively as paper.
Whether paper is better than plastic depends on how it is used. As a writing material, paper is often better. As a conveyance for flowing liquids, plastic is usually better than paper. For bags, if you are unable to use reusable grocery bags (which are readily available for very low prices but require periodic laundering), paper is the much better option. Paper bags, while not exactly environmentally friendly, can at least be composted or recycled. Plastic bags have very few secondary uses, and are almost always simply thrown in the trash.
Plastic, wood and paper are insulators and very poor conductors of electricity.
Because it's better than paper. :)
Copper is a better conductor of electricity than both paper and plastic. Paper and plastic materials are poor conductors of electricity compared to metals like copper, which have a higher density of free electrons that can carry electric charge more effectively.
i burnt plastic in the microwave in less than 2-3 min in the microwave:( but that is just me!!!
Paper bags could be recycled. Plastics can't be deposed as well as paper. Plastics also cause littering.
Waxed paper is a better insulator than plastic cups because it is generally thicker and has a lower thermal conductivity. Waxed paper traps heat better, making it a more effective insulator for maintaining the temperature of liquids.
Paper burn faster than plastic due to its thick texture.
