∙ 15y agoIf it is not contaminated with other materials, glass waste can be salvaged. Glass is readily recyclable, saving on energy and raw materials.
Only glass waste should be put into a broken glass container. Other types of waste, such as plastic, metal, or organic waste, should be disposed of in their respective recycling or garbage bins. Mixing other types of waste with glass can contaminate the recycling process.
It is when you separate your waste into different sections, such as non-recyclable, cardboard, glass, garden waste and food waste.

Reducing the amount of waste generated from restaurant operations is one of our major environmental challenges. Our waste reduction efforts take into account both restaurant level operations as well as waste at our Restaurant Support Centers (RSCs). While each of these areas of operation have different primary waste streams, our Waste Management Program enables us to increase recycling and renewable efforts and reduce solid waste volume across our system.

Yes, they can be cleaned, ground down and made into glass products again.
Yes, glass can be incinerated at very high temperatures. When heated to extreme temperatures, glass will melt and eventually vaporize. Glass incineration is commonly used as a method for recycling glass waste.
Glass is recyclable. Glass is non degradable. Bio degradable waste rots away. Oil based paints are normally not bio degradable.
