I look at alot of answers from other website that people wrote, a some said hardly worth anything And others said worth $200 per gallon. Well I am here to tell you that the are actually worth $200 and is not some hoax. I recycle them all the time and turn them into a recycling agency in my area.

Generally speaking, a million pull tabs have a value around $366 US; or 100 pull tabs have a scrap value of .035 (three and a half cents) US. But, as in any business, you have to deduct the cost for collecting, holding and transporting, not to mention your time. A million of anything is difficult to collect. If you want to earn money collecting aluminum, collecting the cans with tabs attached will add up much more quickly. In US states that have mandatory container deposits, each can is worth from .05 to .10 when returned to a vendor. Much more lucrative than collecting tabs.

A gallon bag of pull tabs weighs in at roughly 2.5 lbs. At the current scrap price, in my area, of 65 cents a pound, you're looking at about $1.82 per gallon. Now the price per pound varies from place to place and the price is dependant on other factors also. So check your local scrap yard before wasting a trip.

Collect a gallon, take them to your local recycling center and you will find out what they are worth. Recycled aluminum cans are bringing .50 per pound in my area.
