Yes.

During a study in Brazil an environmental group targeting water use reduction stated that if a single household flushed the toilet just one fewer times a day, it would save a whopping 1157 gallons of water each year. Peeing in the shower could accomplish that easily.

* Cut down your shower time by 2 - 3 minutes. This can save 5 gallons of water everyday. * Collect grey water from showers or bath tub, and use it to flush the toilet or water the plants. These tips can help you save gallons of fresh water every day. Check out the link given below for more tips on how to save water at home and work. Hope it helps!

  • Take shorter showers.
  • Catch the first cold water in a bucket.
  • Put a plug in the bath (if the shower's in a bath) and bail out all the water later. It's fine for watering the garden (unless you use toxic shampoo).

Is it ok to pee in the bathtub?

Firstly the shower is not a toilet and therefore should not be a place in which you pee. However it is a very common habit for people to urinate in the shower; often developed from childhood peeing in the shower is an act that more than 10% of the population performs. In my personal opinion I believe that it is bad to pee in the shower, especially a shower available to the public (such as in a gym or hotel). also if you share a shower with other people (i.e in a home) take into consideration that the other members of the household do not wish to stand where you have peed whilst they shower. In conclusion I advise that you refrain from peeing in the shower. Like any habit it can be broken with the application of will-power.
