The Sinulog Festival is a festival that is held each year in the Philippines. It is held in honor of Santo Nino, or Jesus Christ. The festival consists of a dance ritual in which people wear brightly colored costumes.
The Sinulog Festival in Cebu City is said to commemorate the first Christian Baptismal ceremony in the area, when Ferdinand Magellan paused there in 1521 during his circumnavigation of the globe.
