well Red Robin is always good if you like burgers and salads and the typical American food...but they usually sing to you and if you're a kid, then the employees might sing to you as you're standing on a booth holding ice cream with balloons around your neck :) lol I was that kid hehehe but you can ask that they don't do that if you don't want that. But they can sing to the birthday person (s) too if you'd like, so that might be fun.
I also like Olive Garden..YUM!!! breadsticks! that's a really nice family place as well. Macaroni Grill and Claim Jumper are very nice too but they might be a tad more spendy..idk..depends on what you order. PLus, Claim Jumper I think if it's you're birthday you get a free desert. and last time when it was my dads b day and we went there, he got a huge piece of chocolate cake that we shared! It was sooo good! and at Macaroni Grill they put paper on the table for each customer and crayons so you can play tic tac to or draw or do whatever you want on the table without making a huge mess! Hope I helped :)
Having themed birthday parties are always best with children especially at age ten where its a milestone age in the double digits. Find out what cartoon character he likes and go from there with a theme around that.

"A good place to look for good restaurants is to go to local.com. Here you can find restaurants in the area you are in, bet also get great deals to those restaurants."
The same as anywhere else, really. They have parties, get presents and cards, go out with friends, go away for a weekend or maybe longer if it is a special birthday.

Yes, there are coupons for big events available for children and their birthday parties. If you go online and look up under events. You can find some good events.
I think you should go to the movies because some people may not be able to go to slumber parties.
One could go to many fine restaurants to get a great filet mignon. The Keg in British Columbia is a good place to go for a great filet mignon. There are many other good restaurants too.
