You know that feeling you get when you make someone happy. Well that's how Santa felt when he started gift giving.
Before he used to give gifts to people locally and wear green, but eventurly he gathered a few helpers that after some time had kids who also started working, after doing this for a while it became a world wide thing and he wore red clothing to stand out at Christmas Eve night.
Santa would start from the east in Asia and work his way to the west. He would start when the sunsets and travel underneath the moon for about 24 hours. Many people forget that while have the world is lit, the other is dark. That's how Santa manages to deliver all in one night.
Santa Claus delivers presents on Christmas eve day and he has a full day then because some countries are like a day forward than us or a day behind so and when he comes to your house it will be at night when everybody is asleep in their beds, and all the house is quiet x
Santa Claus' schedule is a closely guarded secret! But generally speaking, Santa said he waits until everyone is sleeping snug in their beds, with visions of candies floating in their heads! Yep, it's true! Now, I don't know exactly how he knows that everyone is asleep. But I know that everytime I tried to stay awake and watch for him, he didn't come---until after I went to sleep! And of course, Santa must finish before anyone wakes up. I wonder if he gets speeding tickets when flying so fast!
Well Santa start bringing presents around 12:00 that is when you are sleep

Santa Claus starts to deliver presents the night before Christmas.
Some children leave cookies beside the Christmas Tree, along with a glass of milk for Santa when he visits them on Christmas Eve. Also, a carrot is left for Santa's reindeer. On Christmas Day morning, there will only be cookie crumbs, an empty glass, and the top of the carrot left, as Santa and his reindeer will have left the presents and eaten the snacks.
He stole Christmas - or at least he tried to. The Grinch tried to steal Christmas by disguising himself as Santa Claus and taking away all of the Who's Christmas presents and decorations. However, when in the end of the book, the Who's start singing their annual Christmas song despite the fact that all of their presents have been stolen by the Grinch, the Grinch sees that it isn't the presents that make Christmas Christmas - it's the spirit of the people. At this point, his heart grows about three sizes and he becomes a good Grinch and brings back all of the presents to the Whos, and is welcomed for Christmas dinner - and gets to carve the roast beast.
