In other countries Halloween is seen as an American affectation that has very little relevance to the local culture.

It is also often an excuse for anti-social teenagers to demand money or food with menaces, and to vandalise your property if you don't comply. It is not often seen as just an event for young children to dress up in costume and to be rewarded with candy.
