Gifts, of course!

However, presents such as toboggans and snow-skis are not high in demand in Australia. Australian children are more likely to receive boogie-boards and other things that can be used in pools and the surf.

Santa Claus looks pretty much the same as the Santa seen in the UK or USA - white beard, red outfit, etc - however their xmas cards tend to lack snow, perhaps because it's their summer.

Many Australian Christmas cards still feature snowy scenes. This is something that will always be associated with Christmas, no matter what part of the world one lives in. However, Australian Christmas cards may also feature uniquely Australian Santas, such as in bright red board shorts (or his suit, with sleeves and pants legs rolled up) splashing about at the beach, or even as a bright red-suited swagman, sitting around a campfire in the outback, sharing a meal with the local native animals.

Santa still gets to Australia via reindeer. However, once here, his reindeer really are just not up to handling the heat (Christmas is in mid-summer in Australia). So, according to an old Rolf Harris song, he uses "Six white boomers", i.e. large male kangaroos.

No, he lives at the North Pole, but I believe he comes to Australia for his holidays.
