This is a good question asked by many, Santa Claus gets down the chimney by taking a special type of drink called, 'Santaid' which shrinks him to half his size so he can easily fit down the chimney and deliver the presents. Then he looks up the chimney and Rudolph pulls him up. Then when hes back on the roof he takes a different type of drink called 'Extreme-grow' to take him back to his normal size. LOL
Yeah, that whole chimney thing started as a bet with the elves. They knew that he could shrink with his magic, but they didn't think that he was good enough to get down a small chimney... so he proved it. Later they bet about a keyhole, which was a lot harder but he did that one too. Santa is very magical.

Santa does come down the chimney if you have one but if you don't at Christmas time [not Christmas Eve/morning] you will start seeing keys with Santa's face on them in shops if you buy one and hang one on your door handle Santa will be able to be as quiet as he can and deliver your presents but if you don't have a chimney or a SPECIAL key Santa would not be able to get into your house

He drops down the gifts first then he carfully squezes down the chimny. When he's done he Climbs up the chimny using his strong muscles from carrying thoses gifts from years and years and climbs up the chimny without making any noise. If there is a metal cage around the top of the chimny he takes it off using his screw driver and hammer and when he's done he carfully puts it back to it's original state.
