Hold a drape of each colour of fabric up by your face. Decide whether you look healthy or drained beside that colour. Then try it again with a fold of a neutral colour between you and it. If possible go near a window and try the same with natural light.

Then try subtle variations on those colours: dark shades and light tones or subtle changes in the hue. Then you could look at combinations of colours. This can bring out strongly a subtle undertone, giving a very different look.

Try to look at what main colour and what undertone works for you. Green with a blue undertone? Red with a yellow hint? Keep these all in mind when deciding what colour to go with, and then go with the one you like best. You having the confidence that you look good will liven you up more than any colour can.
