Who made day of the dead??? Emmat Washington made day of the dead he is know dead and his daughter is the one who made a memorial in Mexico for her father and then it spread through out Mexico.

The Spanish people. They used it as a celebration, not a day for mourning. They decorated altars for their lost ones who had "passed on." They decorated with skulls, fruits, flowers, candles, and decorative paper. (I was learning about this in spanish class.)
