That is a matter of opinion. My opinion is that if money is very tight and that is all you can get your father, then it is a good gift. If you can get him more than a card, it would probably mean more to him than a card.
yes you can
A gourmet gift is more personal and require more thought than a gift card. If you know the person well enough to place liked items in the basket,I would choose that over a gift card.
No, because you're not putting the gift card on the Nook, it's on the BN.com account. If you have 2 Nooks connected to the same account they will both use the same gift card but once you've added a gift card to an account, that gift card # is attached to that account, it can't be used again.
Yes, but you must delete the Mystery Gift card before you receive another Mystery Gift.
Call the company and check on the value. Chances are that the value is gone to company fees and expiration since it is more than a couple years old. This has happened to me more than once. Ouch.
The only way to do this online is if the online retailer allows multiple forms of payment. You would first put in your gift card number and specify the amount that is on the card, and put the remaining balance on another card. Unfortunately, if the retailer does not allow more than one payment, then you cannot use the gift card if the balance on the card is lower than the payment needed.
Flowers are a more personal touch over gift cards, but both are nice thoughts.
If you got a gift card from someone as a gift, than no... It doesn't cost you.
Depending on what he likes to eat. If he's a steak kind of guy get something like a $100 gift card as those kinds of restaurants can get expensive. If he's more of a burger kind of guy buy him a $50 gift card , maybe he can go out more than once!
Anything more than an amex gift card of at the most $50 or cash, would be awkward
Visa gift cards are a wonderful thing to give or receive since they are accepted almost anywhere you go. If you buy a $100 item with a $50 Visa gift card, you will have to cover the difference out of pocket, but it is nice to get a $100 item and only have to pay $50 yourself.
