* Douglas Haig for the UK, * Ferdinand Foch for the French, and * Max von Gallwitz and Fritz von Bellow for the German Empire.
He wa an amzing yet a comprhension leader and he liked to ride dokeys.
General Sir Douglas Haig was British Commander in chief 1916 but was not very good!
No newspapers where published about what Haig did (bad) so it seemed like he was good at his job ;D
Field Marshal Haig was a good and bad leader. He created the poppy appeal fund after the war, but he also let thousands upon thousands of soldiers walk to their death

blackadder shows that general haig didn't seem to know what he was doing, and that he was very eccentric.

i believe it was Field Marshall Douglas Haig
He eventually defeated the Germans, and helped the war effort. Also, though many people say that the losses were Haig's fault, the battle pan was actually sent to him from the admrialty and Haig had doubts about the plan. Furthermore, the tactic was standard of the time and any other general would have done exactly the same thing.
