However in todays society the Monroe Doctrine wouldn't work considering the United States has many allies which also include Europe. Considering Europe is allied with the United States we are involved in the internal affairs that go on in their country. (We back them up and they back us up when needed). Therefore, no it is not possible to follow the same policy while we are currently allied with Europe.
