∙ 14y agoCheck with the VA regs; but more than likely, each nation takes care of their own veterans. The US VA probably only takes care of US vets. Thai veterans would probably have to be treated by their Thai Government.
President Reagan's new name for the US Veterans Administration, which he created in the 1980's. The VA takes care of US military veterans; health, food, education, legal, administrative, etc.
Unfortunately, it is up to each individual school district. It usually takes a few military veterans on the school board or an administrator that has served to make this happen. Our district has none of the above and school is in session on Nov. 11th.

I have a nephew that's been there twice. It takes anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks to get there but it takes a while longer to actually reach the person depending on where their unit is and what there job is. So it can sometimes take a month or longer!
