They were not being represented in the British Parliament and had to quarter the majesty's troops and provide beer, bootwax, and bedding for them. They did not like the taxes or acts that they had to follow and pay so they boycotted more taxes and acts followed they were sick of it and decided to take a stand. That started the Boston Massacre and then the Boston Tea Party. Then the Revolutionary War was fought for the freedom the rebels wanted. They thought that they were being treated unfairly with taxes and acts from King George III. That would make most people mad. That's why they rebelled and protested the acts and taxes.
