Through visions she had of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Saint Margaret of Antioc, Joan learned that God wanted her to join the army and lead the French to a victory over the occupying British troops. God gave her the knowledge and insight to be a brilliant military strategist and she used this gift to lead the French army to many victories.
