Lewis fought boy ages 13 to 15, there were no warriors present. historians need to tell the truth. The Blackfeet youth, did try to steal horses. My great great great grand father was Wolf Calf, who fought Lewis at age 13. Lewis and one of his crew members stabbed to death one boy, and shot the other as he was running away.

Cherokee Indians fight for their freedom just like us.they also fight for land.
yes - the Indians were really protective of their land.
On July 27 - The Blackfeet Indians tried to steal Lewis's group's rifles. A fight broke out and two Indians were killed. This is the only hostile encounter with an Indian tribe.
No.
Because they wouldn't hand over 6 potatoes before 3 o clock. so then they kicked one in the shins and then the Indian pulled out a stick and smacked him across the face. so they fought.
Despite the lousy rep he always ends up with, Lewis just might be able to pull that won off and win. Go to www.lewisandclark.org (Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation) and go to either the question forum or an email address and ask them.

In what year did the Pueblos Indians fight thr Spanish
No they did not. The teton Sioux and the corps of discovery had several arguements that were close to escalating to a physical fight, but they all were stopped before things got drastic.

Captain Lewis was referring to grizzly bears when he made that statement. He believed that two Native Americans would be easier to handle in a fight than one grizzly bear due to the ferocity and strength of these animals. Grizzly bears were known to be highly intimidating and dangerous, even to experienced explorers like Lewis.
I meant to add with the Indians. sry.--If by Indians you mean Native Americans, yes, some did fight: most opposing the Americans.
