Harold Godwinson earl of wessex, Duke William 2 of Normandy and Harold Haardrader king of some where:)
AngloSaxons and Vikings
1066 AD I believe, Edward the Confessor, Harold Godwinson , and William the Conqueror. Also in 1483 - when the house of york was restored after the wars of the roses there were three kings; Edward IV, Edward V and Richard III. It then happened again in 1936, George V died, Edward VIII took over, but then abdicated to marry an American woman not approved of by his family and so his younger brother George VIII took the throne.
John Henry III Edward I
There were 3 main contenders for the throne. They were: # William of Normandy # Hararld Haddrada # Harold Godwineson
In 1066 William the Conquerer was the king of England but he came from France.
1066
3, Edward III was the King of England until January 5th, 1066. When he died, Harold Godwinson then replaced him on January 6th. The 3rd was crowned on Christmas day 1066, this was William Duke of Normandy.

After the Death of Edward the confessor in January 1066, Harold of Wessex became king... this was to be a very short reign as he was then killed at the Battle of Hastings on the 14th October 1066. After the Battle Edgar Aethling became king for about 3 months until William the Conqueror was crowned on Christmas Day 1066
Edward the Confessor from 1042 until 1066. Then Harold Godwinson who was killed at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, followed by Edgar of the House of Wessex who was deposed after 8 weeks. Then William the Conqueror from 1066 to 1087
EleanorI'm actually not sure how she influenced politics, but I know she was quen to to kings and mother of two kings, this might help.
About 1003 Edward the Confessor (c. 1003 - 5 January 1066), son of Aethelred the Unready and Emma of Normandy, was one of the last Anglo-Saxon kings of the English and is usually regarded as the last of the House of Wesses, ruling from 1042 to 1066 (technically the last being Edgar the Aetheling who was proclaimed king briefly in late 1066, but was deposed after about eight weeks.) His reign marked the continuing disintegration of royal power in England and the advancement in power of the earls.
