Who was involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Mainly the US, Palestine and Israel. But other international countries are being involved e.g. UK, France, Russia etc.

It started in the late 19Th century when the Zionist movement started with a group of secular European Jews to establish a homeland for the Jews in Palestine. Before that Jews lived in peace with Muslims and Christians in Palestine for about 1300 years (except when the European Crusaders killed all the Jews and Muslims in Jerusalem 900 years ago). Most of the Jews who lived in Palestine till then were Arabs.
In short, Arabs and Jews, but there are too many others to list.

To be more precise, the palestenians are represented by the Hamas and Fateh respectively and they have been fighting against the Israeli government over the occupied territory after the six day war.

Really, conflicts between Jews and Arabs go back to the dawn of recorded history, to biblical times, even, as the Palestinians may well be the descendants of the Philistine peoples who fought over the "Promised Land" with the ancient Israelites for hundreds of years after their migration out of Egypt.

With a few minor exceptions, there was little in the way of conflict from 70 AD until the late 19th/early 20th Century, because there were few Jews in Palestine.

In 70 AD (or CE, if you prefer), the Romans sacked Jerusalem and scattered the Jews, driving them out of the region almost entirely in what became known as the Diaspora.

Jews found homes wherever they could, and were persecuted to varying degrees for nearly two thousand years.

In 1947-1948, the Jews in Palestine essentially broke free from the British and established their own state, Israel.

What it all boils down to is that Jews and Arabs - in particular the native Palestinians - have been fighting over just whose ancestral homeland it really is for millenia. The territory has huge cultural and religious significance for both peoples. It's about territory, but it's about more than that. In some ways, the Jewish fear of another Holocaust also plays into their own motivation, particularly since various Arab (and other) nations have repeatedly threatened and/or promised to exterminate them.

It is terribly unclear. The Jewish immigrations to Ottoman Palestine, especially the Vilayet of Beirut, were welcomed by the Arab inhabitants. They brought their agronomic and infrastructural skills with them to what was an Ottoman backwater. When the territory shifted to being a British Mandate in 1919, Jewish Immigration increased, leading to Arab resentment. This resentment came about because the Arabs assumed (reasonably) that the Jews would want a political stake in the country if they became a large minority or majority. In order to discourage further immigrations, some Arabs formed militant organizations to attack Jewish settlements. Jews responded with the militant organizations they had founded to assist the British in World War I. Each side claims that the other one started the conflict, the Arabs on account of a Jewish colonization campaign and the Jews on account of the hostile reception they received when they did not intend to unseat Arabs (at least according to contemporaneous documentation).
