∙ 8y agoIn both elections of 1952 and 1956, Eisenhower's main opponent was Adlai Stevenson (Full name: Adlai Ewing Stevenson ll).
It seems odd that Adlai Stevenson won the nomination two times in a row.

Adlai Ewing Stevenson was the opponent to Dwight D Eisenhower (DDE)
Eisenhower enjoyed light reading. He had enough heavy material on his plate. He read Westerns and enjoyed Western films.
i put, he had clearly lost control of the democratic-dominated congress.
Al Dwight played in 10 games at catcher for the Kansas City Cowboys in 1884, starting in none of them. He made 44 putouts, had 17 assists, and committed 3 errors, equivalent to .3 errors per game (estimate based on total games played in). He had 2 double plays. He had 12 passed balls, 0 wild pitches, 0 opponent stolen bases, and 0 opponent caught stealings.
