During World War I, the arrival of American troops did in fact affect the spirit of the British, French, and other allied troops in Europe in 1917 and beyond. In general, the optimism, the energy, and the passion of the American soldiers, as well as their effectiveness in battle, lifted the spirits of the soldiers who had already been fighting the Central Powers for several long, difficult years.
The Soviet Union dealt with uprisings in Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia during the 1950s and 1960s with wars. Many losses occurred when troops were brought in. Troops were ultimately deployed to deal with any type of uprising.

Japanese troops landed in Rabaul, on the New Guinean island of New Britain, and they captured the towns of Lae and Salamaua on the Papua new Guinean mainland.
There have been many occasions of "Japan's aggression towards Japan." For example, Okinawa can be viewed as being a site of Japanese aggression against its own people. In World War II, the island of Okinawa was used by the American troops as a passage into the mainland, and by the Japanese mainland as a "disposable" island to merely impede the American troops. The Japanese army had no regard for the Okinawan citizens, who were driven out of the safety of their shelters and caves when the American troops arrived. There have also been incidents of senseless killings of the civilians by the Japanese troops during that time, because although Okinawa was an official part of Japan at the time, historically, Okinawans have been treated as the minority, as they speak with a different dialect and have a distinct culture.
Japanese troops thought that the US troops would invade the mainland so they recruited large amounts of young soldiers and were preparing bunkers and main defensive's. US senate did not think of risking the life's of a lot of men by invading the mainland so they dropped the bombs to force Japan to surrender.

The Kokoda Trail was a footpath going thru the OWEN STANLEY RANGE in the islands of New Guinea, just north of Australia. US & Australian (ANZAC) forces defeated Japanese troops, in a series of campaigns, as the Japanese tried working their way to the New Guinea coastlines, during WWII. Australian troops, upon arriving in Vietnam, apparently brought with them, their battle lineage from the Kokoda Trail.
The Japanese troops were repelled by the Australian and US troops during the Kokoda Trail campaign. The PNG natives offered invaluable assistance to the Allied troops, often at great risk to themselves.
