The Trail of Tears was mostly cause by militia army that did not follow the commander's orders to help the sick, weak, and helpless in any way they can. Also, the Indians were not able to get their belongs from their homes before they were forced to leave by gunpoint. So Andrew Jackson could and could not be responsible.
