tutankhamen ruled in Egypt

Translation of the above: I think he began his rule at Akhetaten very briefly (= modern El Amarna, located - roughly - in the "Central Egypt" of the time), where Akhenaten the 'heretic' king had established himself, but quickly relocated back to the traditional New Kingdom capital of Thebes (in the South, or 'Upper Egypt') as he abandoned Akhenaten's 'heresies'.
If anyone else can provide more details it would be appreciated, as there seems to be very little written/known about Tutankhamun's reign and the exact circumstances of the abandonment of Akhetaten.
