The Vikings were probably the first people to arrive on the continent. Christopher Columbus was the first European to land in America though he thought it was India. The Pilgrims were the first to settle there. and so was Melissa navarro
The first colonists to arrive in South America were the Spanish conquistadors, in the 15th Century.

I believe the first filibuster to arrive in Texas was Moses Austin.
The first recorded person of Jewish ancestry to arrive in Texas was José da Porta, a Portugues born Jewish merchant who funded the expedition of French pirate Louis-Michel Aury to Galveston in 1816. He remained there with the pirate until 1817 then relocated to Matagorda Bay, Texas, and back to New Orleans in 1820.
