Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb at Agra was built by Nur Jahan, wife of Jahangir. Itimad-ud-Daulah was the father of Nur Jahan.
Shah Jahan was the third son of Jahangir. Jahangir's eldest sons Khusrau and Parveiz had died before their father. After Jahangir's death, Empress Nur Jahan wished to place her son-in-law Shahryar on the throne.
