Mayan people believed in many gods which was called "Polytheism."
Mayan religion was characterized by the worship of nature gods, especially the gods of sun, rain and corn, the importance of astronomy and Astrology, and the building of elaborate pyramidical temples, to get closer to the gods and from the top of which took place rituals of human sacrifice.

The Mayans practiced what we would call medicine, philosophy and astrology in their own respect. They had no digital technology, but their ways were effective.
