NEVER! First of all, it was the Soviet Union at that time, and SU never entered the Korean War!
This is not entirely true, as of 2003, recently opened Russian archives and from research by Russian and American historians found the following:
"Soviet pilots battled the U.S. Air Force in the early months in the skies over Korea using planes transported secretly to air bases along the Manchurian border. The Soviet pilots wore Chinese uniforms and were trained to use Chinese phrases on their radios to mask their involvement in the war."
In fact, the Russians had almost nothing to do with the Korean War, contrary to popular belief. Most people believe that the Chinese became communist due to the USSR being communist but the Chinese because communist on their own accord. The USSR and China were almost enemies. The only external military force in the Korean war other than the N. Korean Army, the S. Korean Army, and the US Army was the Chinese Army. The USSR just stood there and watched.
at the time, the soviet union practically took control over North Korea until the end of the war. after the war, it was sponsored by the soviet union until it collapsed in 1991, now all north Korea has is china.
The nations that were involved in the Korean war were the US who aided south Korea and the soviet union, who aided north Korea.

Australia sent 17,000 men to the Korean War.
The Korean War and Vietnam War are some of their reactions.
While the Soviet Union was not directly involved in the Korean War, it did provide supplies and other aid to the North Koreans. Some soviet citizens even served as volunteers in the North Korean military.
