Simply by just making the choice of not giving up her seat to a white man. See back then all the blacks were suppose to sit on the back of the bus, and if there weren't any more seats on the bus when a white person got on, then a black person have to give up their seat. She was tired mentally not physically of being bossed around. Just for her doing that it changed history with the help of the boycott. Now any black person can sit anywhere on the bus, and no one has to give up their seat for anyone.
