What was Columbus impressed with in the new world?

Well he was mostly interested in how they acted and how they lived but he was also interested in there survial ways like farming and making teepees.

He wasn't impressed at all, they were barbarians.

Columbus "discovered" a new world that we now call the western hemisphere. Europeans did not know that any land was positioned between Europe and Asia on the route west wound the world. Columbus landed on several islands in the Caribbean, but the follow up t that lead to the European discovery and conquest of North America, Central America, and South America, as well as the adjacent islands.
