Cuba was granted independence. Guam and Puerto Rico were ceded to the US by Spain. The US purchased the Philippines from Spain for $20 million.
It wasn't. It was granted Independence from Spain under the 1898 Treaty of Paris.
Allowed the US to use the port of New Orleans. Florida was ceded later, as was Texas. Caribbean ports were already open, but their forces were still present.

Portugal received the better deal from the Treaty of Tordesillas, as they were granted rights to the lands in the eastern portion of the world, including Brazil. Spain, on the other hand, gained control over the lands in the western portion of the world.
