There were several groups placed in the camps. They were: Jewish, disabled, mentally retarded, homosexuals, people who helped/hid any of the above groups. Each of the above groups were also required to wear the symbols on their clothing. Most people know about the yellow Star of David for the Jewish, but there was a pink triangle for those who were homosexual.
