During WW I, a number of companies made the 1911 for military service, including Remington UMC (for Union Metallic Cartridge). Remington produced about 21,500 of these weapons, serial numbered 1-21,676. They were made in 1918 and 1919 only. Blue Book value for a 95% original condition Remington 1911 is $2,500.00, but I certainly cannot vouch for the condition of your gun. Take this one to a competent appraiser before doing anything to it (including cleaning).
Do you mean 5 centimes ? A 5 "francs" does not exist in 1911. 5 ct. 1911 : 15.386.000 coins were struck. Value : about 10 dollars in good condition.
Yes, they were. However, each chaplain was assigned a chaplain's assistant who was armed to protect the chaplain. Some chaplains did choose to carry a 1911 .45 cal pistol, however.

the value of any weaposn depends a great deal on the overall condition, maker and serial number (which tells when made)...................................
made 1914
The lower the serial number the younger the pistol is
prices for the 1911 model are very high. however, value depends overall on condition and make. to verify the maker the serial number is used for a look up. at times a springfield slide might be put on a Colt frame causing the 1911 owner to think his pistol is a springfield, which is incorrect. at this time estimates for a 1911 can reach $1500 plus or minus
your serial number comes back to a 1911 pistol made by Colt in 1918
1,250.00
Six to seven hundred dollars.
Your C - marked 1911 is a commercial model of the 1911 government model pistol. Your pistol was made in 1918. Value will depend of overall CONDITION. Rust, pitts, worn finish are factors to be considered relative to value. You would have to describe the condition and provide pics if you seek value.........................
value depends on overall condition of pistol. good condition can average $800 -$1200
1911 model pistols , by all manufactures, used serial numbers to date the manufacture date of their pistols. therefore, to obtain the date of any 1911 pistol you have to furnish a serial number.
Your 1911 model was made by Colt in 1919. Your slide probably reads 'springfield' and you think it is, but often slides on 1911's aew switched when being cleaned. Value depends on overall condition. Ex. very good, good, fair, poor.
made by Colt 1912 for US Navy. not unusual to see springfield slide on a Colt frame
the pistol was made by Springfield in 1914. If the slide read 'colt' it means someone put a colt slide on a springfield 45 frame. Not unusual.
