If you found your coin in change it's worth between $1 and $1.10 depending on condition. A dealer will have boxes of them and will only pay you $1, if they're even interested.
Also, it's not a silver dollar, just a dollar. The coins are all made of the same copper-nickel clad metal used for dimes, quarters, and halves.
My advice would be to either keep it as a conversation piece, or put it in a vending machine if you want to spend it. Most cashiers today wouldn't recognize it.
Likely face value only, just very high grade uncirculated and proof coins have more than face values, none of the coins were struck in silver regardless of mintmarks or date. There is a variety of the 1979-P issue SBA coin referred to as a Wide Rim or Near Date type that does have more than face value.

No such coin exists, all 1978 dollars are Eisenhower dollars. Susan B Anthony dollars would not be minted until 1979.
