A lot of people outside Africa talk about Africa like it's one country. But, it's a large continent, and is e.g. 4 times bigger than the continental USA in area. A normal passenger jet, when flying from Cape Town, in South Africa, to Cairo, Egypt, at the other side of the African continent, would take about 10 and a half hours. (That's further than from Europe to the USA.) Africa is probably more diverse than Latin America. The only continent that's also a country, is Australia. There would often be e.g. Hollywood movies which would just say in Africa, but not which country.
