∙ 15y agoIf you're a veteran, contact the VA and ask them to send you their latest booklet entitled (for the revised June 2002 issue-VA Pamphlet 26-4) "VA-Guaranteed Home Loans for Veterans." During the Viet War, servicemen commonly referred to it as the "GI (Home) Loan" or the statement was often made, "...I got the house on the GI bill." Recommend using discretion when stating the words, "GI Bill"; that can mean any benefit from the GI Bill...including going to Trade School, College, or buying a home.
