I'm sure the meaning varies from tribe to tribe. However, when we went to the Cherokee Museum in North Carolina, they told us that like the Christian's Genesis, they also also have something like a story of creation and the flood of Noah. In their story the Earth was inhabited by people and the people were all good and happy. After a while the people started to become evil. A great flood came and destroyed those who were evil. A giant turtle came and saved the good people from drowning by allowing them to crawl up upon his back. A swimming bird came along and realized the people were in trouble and said he would go find them some land. He was gone for a long time and the people started to worry. The bird finally came back and had brought them soil in his bill. The people took the soil and mixed it with the moss on the turtle's back and began to take care of it and farm. The soil began to grow and expand. The people stayed there and the world developed again. The turtle always allowed them to stay there, but once and a while he still moves. When he does the earth trembles and water comes. This is the cause of earthquakes and flooding.

Yes, most stores do accept coupons printed directly off of websites. In my experience, the only stores that may not are small retail chains (i.e., Dollar General). Most stores do not advertise on paper anymore, the internet is their way of getting cheap advertisement to the mass.

What was chief Indian Little Turtle famous for?

hi! I actually just finished studying this. Chief little turtle was the chief of the Miami Indians in the late 1700's. He was mad because the American settlers were invading their Indian territory by moving onto it. So, little turtle would tell different groups of his tribe to attack the Americans. This angered Washington. Washington sent his troops to settle things. The compromise was that if the Americans could remain on that land, the Indians would receive $20,000 worth of goods from the American Government. Hope this helps!
