Compromise means settling a disagreement by mutual concession.
In order to form the government there had to be compromises. Unlike today where many in our government refuse to compromise the constitutional converntion knew that to have a strong government that the people within that government had to compromise to meet the needs of the people they work for.

It means someone who will not compromise. Compromise is that process where people with differing viewpoints find a middle ground they can agree on. Uncompromising people refuse to alter their viewpoints one iota to acoomodate others.
