Vikings were also called berserkers, because when they were close to land (where they would "steal stuff") they would eat hallucinogenic mushrooms that made them "high" and they would hoot and holler and make animal sounds, and go, well, Berserk! So once on land they would rampage and steal food, bibles, some valuables, and every once in a while they would hold a hostage.
When vikings raided throughout Europe and Scandinavia they took jewellery, furniture, animals, food, tools, prized possessions of the people they raided, and anything useful and handy to them they they might have wanted or needed on their journeys. Sometimes they even took over peoples land. They were able to do all this because if the people defended themselves from the Viking raiders they would be killed.
The Vikings were very apt at agriculture as well as raising livestock.
Vikings from Sweden and Denmark ate a lot of dairy, and plenty of meat, but really relied more on dairy for their diet
Vikings from Norway, Iceland, and Greenland relied more on Meat than dairy, and even learned how to farm on what is basically a block of ice.
