Simon Bolivar could not have lived his life with more ease and luxury. Simon Bolivar went to Cartagena and joined forces with Colombian patriot, Atonio Narino. He returned to win countless victories against the Spanish. In August, 1813, he entered Caracas and was given the title of "the liberator." In 1814 the Spanish recaptured Caracas and Simon escaped to Jamaica, where he created a book called La Carta de Jamaica, which means "The Letter from Jamaica."
