Mussolini conquered Ethiopia and Albania. Due to lack of preparation in the Italian Army, he failed to conquer Greece. After this failure, he experienced a series of losses in North Africa.

Mussolini Conquered Ethiopia or Abyssinia as it was called then in 1935-6 with relative ease.

He also took Albania in 1939 in a matter of days.

Italy (before Mussolini) took Libya from the tribes in 1912

he invaded a wee bit of France whilst the German's took the rest in 1940

he invaded Greece in 1940 but was humiliated by the stout Greek resistance and forced back. German's helped and he occupied some of Greece.

he also invaded some of Egypt in the North African Campaign from Libya but also needed German help to keep the ground taken.

I think that is about as far as Mussolini got to re-creating the Roman Empire he so desperately wanted

Mussolini was the fascist dictator of Italy. Under his leadership, the Italian military conquered parts of eastern Africa, including Ethiopia and Somalia.
