The right of insurrection is not a law but rather a natural right. When held captive or when having your rights oppressed, it is the natural right of a person to rise up against their oppressor and defend those freedoms endowed to them by their creator. In a democratic system, we cede our right of insurrection in favor of a political and legal system in which we have a right to petition for the redress of grievances. Only if the government so fails to protect the rights of the people do they have the natural rights expressed in the Declaration of Independence to rise up and throw off that government in favor of a new one of their creation. Though under the law such an act is treason and insurrection against the lawful government and would be put down by military force if necessary.
i would say that its ok to revolt only if the revolt lives up to these standards: 1. the government is oppressive and is doing nothing or is having a negative impact on the people it governs. 2. the revolt does somthing to better the conditions of the people who are being oppressed that's really all i can think of, its more of a moral decition, there is no definitive answer
It is easy for popular leaders to rally people to revolt because they have already found favor in their followers eyes. These leaders simply need to tell the followers why they should revolt.

Yes, the revolt of Filipinos against the Spaniards was justifiable because it was a response to oppressive colonial rule, forced labor, high taxes, and restrictions on their freedom. The Filipinos sought independence and self-governance, which they believed was their right as a people.
??????????????
Yes. It begins by declaring that all people have certain unalienable rights (life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) and, according to the philosophy of John Locke, the people had the right to revolt against a government that denies them any of these rights. The Declaration of Independence then lists the various reasons why the British government had violated these rights, to show that their declaration was justified. The Declaration of Independence is legendary among all essays, and often times countries looking to revolt more often than not look to the Declaration of Independence as a model for justifying their revolt.
