I just got this in a fortune cookie, and I applied it to my own life (as I am going through a bad breakup right now). The sorrow of parting (presumably with a loved one) will bring happiness of reunification. Now this does not necessarily mean that you are going to reunite with your lost loved one, however this might be a reunification at a deeper level. By losing this relationship, by gaining some sort of independence; you are going to reunite with your real self, you will get to spend some time with your self again. This is the reunification that I am looking forward to.
