It is true, corn, potatoes, and peppers are all native to the Americas, but the Americas does not mean North America. Though they eventually were grown and used in the northern part of the Americas, they are not native to North America. Turkey, venison, sunflower seeds, bison, black walnuts, pecans, salmon, cranberries, Gooseberries, and others are natives of North America.
