Tracing a family tree requires documentation of the birth, marriage and children of individuals. Such documentation does not exist in unbroken line back to Moses, not even for prominent families such as ruling dynasties and scholars. Therefore it is impossible to trace your family tree to Moses.
Martin Luther King Jr. being an ordained minister had plenty of biblical allusions and references made to the New and Old Testaments in his speeches. His famous 1957 sermon asks his followers to take the words of Jesus of Nazareth's Temple Mount speech towards the context of "loving your enemy (referring to racial persecutors of African Americans)" directly akin to Moses Commandment atop Sinai to "love thy neighbor."
Abraham (in the Bible) was born about 2015 BC (calculated from Genesis 11:26 etc) He died in about 1840 BC. (Gen 25:7-10) Moses was born about 1590 BC (Ex 6:16, 18, 20; 2:7 etc) and died when he was 120 years old (Deuteronomy 34:7). So, between the death of Abraham and the birth of Moses there was about 250 years. Jewish answer: Tradition is that there were 245 years between the death of Abraham and the birth of Moses.
