There is a false belief held by some people today that the extinct Karankawa tribe of the Texas coast along the Gulf of Mexico were cannibals.
It is likely that they and many other Texas tribes (Tonkawas, Coahuiltecan and others) ceremonially ate parts of enemies killed in battle; this was done to absorb the strength and power of the enemy, not as a food. There is no evidence that the Karankawas ate people routinely, as cannibals would certainly do.
The Carib tribe of the Lesser Antilles (Windward and Leeward Islands) are reported to have practised cannibalism (hence the word cannibal derives from Carib); but the accuracy of these early reports is subject to debate.
In the USA a group of 87 pioneers (the Donner party) trapped by snow in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the winter of 1846-1847 resorted to cannibalism in order to survive; these were not native Americans.

The only documentation concerning Rolfe's view of Native American's is that he thought them "heathens."
The healing traditions of Native Americans have been practiced in North America since at least 12,000 years ago and possibly as early as 40,000 years ago.
The Aztec Empire often made slaves of other Native tribes they conquered. They also practiced human sacrifices. Each year thousand of such sacrifices were made at top of their temples, the victims' hearts were cut out and offered to Aztec gods.
Actually there are recorded documents that show that the Native Americans did buy slaves from slave traders, the Cherokee for example were known to buy slaves (African & American slaves). While this was not large scale slavery as practiced by the American's it did exist.
