Wat Tyler is famously known for the peasants revolt, he was the leader of the Kent peasants. they where the first ones to kick off about the POLL TAX and wanting HIGHER WAGES etc. However, Wat was actually the peasant that worked for the local priest's' land. Wat Tyler died when he rode up to the king in Smithfeild, on a small horse he had stolen from the priest's, jumped down from his horse and turned to the king. the mayor of London let out a yell as he entered the knife into the flesh of Wat Tyler's back. he was stabbed only once, but the rest of the Mayor's men kicked and punched him until he was dead. it was a sad way to die. especially when he did not even achieve respect for the peasants either. hope this helps!
